I am a trained doula, certified through WISE WOMAN WAY OF BIRTH in Vancouver BC. Assisting and supporting women to have the birth they desire is my goal for every client I work with. Generally my service includes:
- At least one prenatal visit to get to know each other, discuss your plans, goals and dreams for the birth, and get to know your partner and other support people.
- Assistance with preparation of a birth plan.
- Meeting you as soon as you feel you would like my presence during labour.
- Unlimited contact during pregnancy by phone and email.
- Consultation about the best time to depart for the hospital, if planning to birth there.
- Continuous presence and support during the birth process.
- Hanging out after the baby arrives to make sure you are comfortable, and assistance establishing breastfeeding.
- One follow-up visit, usually once you and baby have returned home.
